New Kent Youth Republican Club
The New Kent Youth Republican Club is a youth organization made up of teenage conservatives and Republicans. The organization was established in 2018, and is an affiliate of the National Teenage Republicans.
History
The New Kent Youth Republicans were started in October 2018 and originally named the New Kent High School Republican Club. After a transition in leadership in the fall of 2019, a local Republican party unit and the local school system forced the organization out of the school. Upon this happening, the organization changed its name to the New Kent Youth Republican Club, and started focusing more on community campaigning and involvement.[1] Since the renaming of the organization, they have hosted Former Lt. Governor Bill Bolling and US Senate Republican Nominee Daniel Gade as guest speakers at events. The organization hosted a US Senate Republican Candidate Debate via Facebook Live on June 10th, with Alissa Baldwin, Thomas Speciale, and Daniel Gade, with Jean Gannon as the moderator.[2]
Campaign Work
The New Kent Youth Republicans have had members work on the Daniel Gade for US Senate and the Trump Victory campaigns. They have made over 50,000 voter contacts as of July 2020, and have been the main distributor of Trump/Pence 2020 signs in New Kent County.[3]
