New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal[edit]

New wave of traditional Heavy Metal or "NWOTHM" is the growing movement in modern time that has seen the return of traditional sounding metal bands. The traces it origin back to 2004 when Swedish Enforcer emerged.

The name is taken from the new wave of British heavy metal in which the movement strongly identifies with. Other bands considered part of the movement include Steelwing, In Solitude, White Wizzard, Cauldron, Ambush, Air raid, Holy Grail, Skull Fist, Stallion and more. High Roller Records have played a great part in the genre. Most of the bands in the genre are signed to High Roller Records.
