Newgon Organization (Newgon) is an Unincorporated Association of Minor-Attracted People[1] and allies founded in 2007 to lobby for a better understanding of minor-attraction and legal reform of sexual contact above the age of 12 in countries where this is prohibited.[2]
Often described by journalists and Wikipedia as supporting "pedophile rights" and "justifying child molestation"[3], this is not in fact correct, since the organization has never lobbied for the "sexual rights" of prepubescent children, or pedophiles to engage in such activities. The organization describes its agenda via its Yesmap homepage, as supporting "rational reform" of sex offending laws, a position similar to that espoused by the Registry Reform movement in America.[4]
The organization publishes its literature via a MediaWiki platform, in an attempt to circulate personal accounts of minor-adult sex that do not confirm the widely held belief that such relations are abusive. It also identifies advocacy groups that are against people with an attraction to minors (pedophiles and hebephiles).[5][6][7][8][9]
High points of the organization's notoriety include an episode of Law and Order: SVU said by its producer to have been based roughly on the organization[10] and various controversies on Twitter/X said by the organization to have created millions of impressions in its attempts to increase visibility for its demographic.[11]
