News Patrol is an independent news website based in Makati City, Philippines. Composed of an editorial team of veteran journalists, executive producers, editors and writers with backgrounds in multi-platform journalism (print, television, radio, digital news and social media), News Patrol is an alternative source of information for Filipinos who are hungry for meaningful news that goes beyond sensationalism. News Patrol is an impartial and unbiased platform that aims to restore the public’s confidence in journalism.

News Patrol was founded in 2020 as a voice of hope in a time of both crisis and opportunity. In the Philippines, nearly 6 out of 10 Filipinos say that their quality of life has become worse. On a personal level, Filipinos are most concerned about staying healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, finding a decent-paying job, and feeding their family. On a national level, Filipinos are most concerned about the rising prices of goods, low wages, the COVID-19 pandemic, and poverty (3).

Amid this landscape, News Patrol’s mission is to provide news that empowers the readers so that they can make informed choices, take positive action, and find optimism in the world. And as the Philippines approaches the 2022 national and local elections, News Patrol aims to be a stabilizing presence that provides insight, sobriety and perspective. Aside from the website,News Patrol also has a strong presence on social media by posting reports, breaking news, photos, infographics, features and inspirational quotes on Facebook,Twitter and Instagram.
