Newtown A.F.C.
Newtown AFC is a football club from Newtown, Powys. Their home ground is Latham Park.
Football in the town dates to as early as 1875, around that time Newtown White Stars were the main side in town. Newtown were re-established in 1884 after 3 years away and they won the 1894-95 Welsh Cup. Around 1900 they folded and the town was left represented by some local sides.
Newtown AFC returned in 1919. They had a lot of success in the Mid Wales League before moving to England's Northern Premier League and then the new League of Wales in 1992. They stayed in the Welsh top tier until relegation to the Cymru North in 2025. This was the first ever relegation in the club's history.
