Next Generation Shell (in short NGS) is a programming language. NGS is a Domain-specific language where the domain is Ops tasks. Created by Ilya Sher and first released in 2017, NGS was specifically designed for DevOps; more specifically for common tasks that Ops people perform. Among other things, it has special syntax for running external programs (small subset of Bash (Unix shell) syntax). NGS does not have interactive shell yet but it's a planned feature.
