Nguyen Nhat Nam (born 5 December 2002) is a Vietnamese amateur mixed martial arts fighter who competes in the 57 kg division. In 2026, he won a bronze medal in the Men's Amateur MMA Seniors 57 kg division at the AMMA & Pankration Asian & Oceania Championships held in Da Nang, Vietnam.[1][2]
Early life and education
Nguyen Nhat Nam was born on 5 December 2002 in Quang Nam, Vietnam. He studied Business Administration with a focus on Marketing at Duy Tan University.
According to Tuoi Tre, Nam was the first person in his family to pursue sport seriously. He initially took up martial arts to improve his physical fitness before later training and competing in mixed martial arts.[2]
While pursuing MMA, Nam also continued his university studies and work. Tuoi Tre reported that there were periods when he trained two to three sessions per day. His preparation for competition included high-intensity training, weight cutting, and recovery from injuries.[2]
Martial arts training
Nguyen Nhat Nam began training in mixed martial arts in 2022 and trained at Dragon Fight Edu.[citation needed]
As his training progressed, he developed skills for amateur MMA competition and began participating in domestic martial arts events.

2026 AMMA & Pankration Asian & Oceania Championships
In 2026, Nguyen Nhat Nam represented Vietnam at the AMMA & Pankration Asian & Oceania Championships, an event held under the United World Wrestling system. The championships took place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from 7 to 9 June 2026.[1]
Nam competed in the Men's Amateur MMA – Seniors – 57 kg division. The official UWW athlete list identifies Nhat Nam Nguyen as representing Vietnam in this division.[3]
