Bishop Howard Slayton is an American Independent Old Catholic Bishop, having received holy orders from Archbishop Francis John Sahuque. Bishop Howard was ordained to the deaconate and the priesthood at Salt Lake City, Utah on May 16, 2006. Then on September 30, 2007, he was elevated to the Episcopacy in a pontifical rite in Springfield, Missouri.
Prior to receiving Old Catholic Orders, Bishop Howard was ordained a minister by the Universal Life Church in Modesto, California on August 11, 1999. He was later granted the title of Bishop on September 28, 2005.
Bishop Howard Slayton carries out standard Christian ministerial duties such as: Baptisms, confirmations, the Lord's supper, holy matrimony, holy orders, reconciliation, extreme unction, hospital visitation, nursing home ministry and jail ministry where permitted.
