Amateur Career[edit | edit source]
Nick was born in San Fernando, California and attended John F. Kennedy High School and played baseball as starting shortstop for the Kennedy Cougars.  He played college baseball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for the UNLV Rebels from 2014 to 2018.  Rodriguez played mainly infield positions such as first,second,and shortstop.  In his college career, he hit .244/.269/.337 with 13 homeruns.

Nicholas Salavdor Rodriguez is the son of Guadalupe and Florensio Rodriguez.  He has a total of 5 siblings.  His brothers are Florencio, Andrew, Mando, and Omar Rodriguez.  His sister is Ofelia Rodriguez .
