Nick Brown
Nick Brown (born 1960), also known as Nicholas J. L. Brown or Nicholas John Laird Brown, is a psychologist and computer scientist recognized for his work in identifying irregularities in scientific publications. He is known for his critical analysis and efforts to expose questionable research practices.
Biography
Brown was born in 1960. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge from 1978 to 1981. Later, he pursued a Master of Science degree at the University of East London from 2011 to 2013. He completed his PhD in Psychology with a focus on health psychology at the University of Groningen from 2015 to 2019, under the supervision of Adelita Vijaynti Ranchor and Casper Albers.
Brown has had a diverse career, working as a visiting scholar at Linnaeus University and Buckinghamshire New University. He also served at the Council of Europe from 1990 to 2012.

Brown's work has significantly contributed to the field of scientific integrity. He received the Research Parasite Award in 2019 for his efforts in exposing shoddy and questionable research. His work has been featured in various publications, including Le Monde, Science, and The Guardian.
