Nick Hose is an Australian television journalist and news presenter who has worked at ABC News[1] and Seven News.[2]

Career

Hose completed a Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2013.[3] He moved to New York in 2015 to complete an internship at NPR radio station WNYC.[4]

Hose joined ABC News[1] as a reporter in Alice Springs, Northern Territory in April 2016. He covered issues including the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the local Arrernte people fighting to fly the Aboriginal flag on top of Anzac Hill.[5]

Hose reported on Landline including the Pintupi Nine and Indigenous land management.[6]

From 2017 Hose presented ABC News Northern Territory's 7pm news bulletins. Hose joined ABC 7.30 in Sydney, he reported on the Australian Black Summer bushfires. He also contributed his perspective in "Black Summer: Stories of loss, courage and community by ABC reporters on the ground during the 2019–2020 bushfires” edited by ABC News Breakfast presenter Michael Rowland.[7][8]

In September 2021, Hose joined Seven News, Sydney, he covered the 2022 eastern Australia floods for the Seven Network. Including on Sunrise and ‘The Latest’.[citation needed] Hose stepped into the anchor seat for the 7NEWS regional nightly bulletins in February 2023 with Madelaine Collignon.[9]
