From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Nicholas Jarjour (born January 24, 1986) is a Los Angeles native, French-Lebanese talent manager, CEO, entrepreneur, producer, director, and music industry businessman. He began his music career at 16 for what was to become the youngest partnership at Maverick Management,[1] a division of Maverick Entertainment. He manages several songwriters and producers, such as Starrah, Cirkut, and Alex Da Kid.

Early Life[edit]

Nicholas (Nick) Jarjour was born on January 24, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to a family in the real estate business. While in and out of various schools, Jarjour entered the band 12:30 where he played a production role. As his acquaintances became interested in producing, Jarjour discovered his talent for managing these individuals through a business perspective. Before deciding to relocate to Los Angeles, California, Jarjour worked alongside Warner Music France in Europe where he helped develop up-and-coming artists. He also hosted a plethora of indie labels and publishers.

Maverick Management[edit]

In 2014, Guy Oseary announced that he was forming a joint venture with Live Nation Entertainment to establish a management group. In March 2015, founder Madonna released her album Rebel Heart, featuring the Maverick logo on the back cover which signified a new collaboration between Oseary, Madonna's manager, and Live Nation Entertainment as a management group.[2]

In 2016, Jarjour joined Maverick's Management division[3] after garnering the attention of Oseary and manager Gee Roberson during a negotiation.[4] Jarjour currently manages a roster of Grammy-winning clients that have been successful in producing sales of a 250 million surplus. Jarjour credits his success to the “collaborative” nature of Maverick, where he is free to work with any of the collective’s managers or acts.[4]

Jarjour Co Inc[edit]

In 2017, Jarjour established a full service management, publishing, and creative agency that includes an A&R service enclave. The company's management division is a partnership with Maverick and Live Nation. Playing musical matchmaker, Jarjour has had a hand in some of the biggest hits to date, such as Rihanna’sNeeded Me,” Katy Perry’sSwish Swish,” Calvin Harris’ “Feels,” Camila Cabello’sHavana,” and Maroon 5’s “What Lovers Do.”

Clients[edit]

Focusing on what he calls “an underdog roster,” Jarjour discovered the songwriter Starrah, and took on Cirkut, on whose couch he crashed while working in Europe, for management. His latest signing is Alex Da Kid, a well-known name in the industry who has seen chart-topping singles and albums with Imagine Dragons and Eminem.[4]

Starrah[edit]

Brittany Talia Hazzard, professionally known as Starrah, is an American songwriter, singer and rapper. She has co-written hits for high-profile artists, and records material in a melodic, low-profile contemporary RnB style. The career of the Delaware native achieved lift-off in 2015, when Kid Ink and Dej Loaf recorded "Be Real," a song she co-wrote, and took it to #12 on Billboard's Hot RnB/Hip-Hop chart. Some of her notable hits include Halsey's "Now or Never," Travis Scott's "Pick Up the Phone," and Rihanna's "Needed Me."[5]

Cirkut[edit]

Henry "Cirkut" Walter, a versatile producer and songwriter, paved his path through working with acts such as Kesha, Nicki Minaj, and the Weeknd, to name a few. The Canadian native has co-produced and co-written several #1 hits on the Billboard charts, specifically those of "Part of Me", "Roar", and "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry, and "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus.[6]

Alex Da Kid[edit]

Alexander Grant is best known as Alex da Kid, head of the KIDinaKORNER record label and the man behind some of the biggest hit singles of the 2010s. He has been nominated for numerous Grammy Awards including "Album of the Year" for his work on Rihanna's "Loud", and has played a role in current releases like "Thunder", "Demons," and "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons and "Renegades" by X Ambassadors.[7]

Personal Life[edit]

In Jarjour's feature interview with Variety Magazine, the Hollywood New Leaders nominee declared that, “All I want to do is make hits and empower artists. My goal is to help them dream as big as possible."[4]

Jarjour is a strong purporter of having producers and songwriters achieve recognition in the music industry. In an interview with Distract TV, the mogul declared, "These silent giants [songwriters] are overlooked and under-credited all too often, because, in the past, artists have never wanted their fans to know they don’t write their own songs, or at least not all on their own. Because of the internet, information regarding credits is much more accessible and fans aren’t so easily fooled anymore. Implementing honours like Spotify’s Secret Genius Awards,[8] and integrating a visible listing of credits[9] in all the platform’s songs are great examples of small steps companies can take in terms of recognition."[10]

Jarjour has given a number of talks in regards to the music industry, with appearances at events by ASCAP,[11] Canadian Music Week,[12] and more.
