Nicki is an unaired American single-camera comedy television series created by Kate Angleo, which is based on the immigration of Nicki Minaj's family from Trinidad and her childhood in Queens, New York. Minaj would have been the executive-producer for the series. ABC Family (now Freeform) gave a straight-to-series order in September 2015.[1] Production began in January 2016.[2] In October 2016, Minaj stated the filming was postponed.[3]
