Nicola Rose is an American director, writer and producer from New York City.

In 2022, Rose made her feature film directorial debut with Goodbye, Petrushka, which she also wrote. The film was released in summer 2022 and premiered at Dances With Films in Los Angeles. Following its premiere, the film was distributed by Indie Rights Movies.[1]

Early life[edit]

Rose began acting early in life and in her twenties switched to directing. She attended Columbia University and the Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris, France. After obtaining her degrees, she worked as a professional puppeteer in New York, Boston and Paris. These experiences served as inspiration for her debut feature film.[2]

As of 2023, Rose is preparing to direct her second feature film, Magnetosphere.[3] The film is slated to begin production in summer 2023.
