Nicolas Baumard

Nicolas Baumard is a French cognitive anthropologist and evolutionary psychologist [1] [2], mostly known for his work in the cognitive science of morality [3] [4]. He is a Research Director at the CNRS and Professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure – PSL University in Paris. Baumard did his PhD in Social Sciences under the supervision of cultural and cognitive scientist Dan Sperber. He then held positions at the School of Anthropology & Museum Ethnography of the University of Oxford and at the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program of the University of Pennsylvania.

Baumard has used innovative tools to study psychological changes in humans over time, including machine learning for face recognition[5] [6], and natural language processing [7] [8].
