Nicolas M. Chaillan (born August 3, 1984) is a technology entrepreneur, software developer and cybersecurity expert.[1] [2] As of 2017, he is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of several companies.[3] Chaillan is the founder of AFTER-MOUSE.COM, Cyber Revolution, Table Ordering and anyGuest.com. He is the Chairman of Holding AKT and recently became the Chief Architect of Cyber.gov at the Department of Homeland Security.

Chaillan was born in Marseille, France, to Sylvie Chaillan and French journalist, Bernard Chaillan.

Business career[edit]

Chaillan is considered to be a leading cybersecurity expert, has participated in multiple industry conferences[4] and has worked in close collaboration with government officials.[5]

Entrepreneur[edit]

In 2000, at only 16, Chaillan created WORLDAKT[6] and online game servers (GAMESAKT).

In 2002, Chaillan officially joined the PHP team[7] to help with the development of several extensions involving secure online payment such as SPPLUS and Cybermut.[8][9]

In 2009, he founded AFTER-MOUSE.COM,[10] a company specializing in the development of multi-touch[11][12][13] and motion recognition business applications; [14][15][16][17] it was quickly recognized by Microsoft[18] as an industry pioneer and named Startup of the Day.[19]

He founded and created anyGuest.com in 2013, a firm producing an ordering and payment mobile app for the hospitality industry; it won the best Innovation Award of IHMRS in 2013.[20][21]

In 2014, he became the founder of Nesting Partners focusing on leveraging patents to incubate companies[22] that can be sold within a ten to fifteen month timeframe.[23][24][25]

Chaillan launched a targeted $20M fund in April 2015 in order to incubate 10 to 15 Intellectual Property based companies a year.[26][27][28][29]

In July 2015, he founded Cyber Revolution, inc., which offers preventive and corrective cybersecurity plans for small and larger organizations with monthly fees.[30] Cyber Revolution was selected as Premium Solution Provider to the American Bar Association Law Practice Division.[31] Chaillan was a guest speaker at the Amazon Inventions Tour in 2016.[32]

Department of Homeland Security[edit]

In 2016, Chaillan joined the Department of Homeland Security to be the Chief Architect of Cyber.gov where he is designing the new holistic cyber architecture for the civilian Departments and Agencies of the .gov domain.[33] Chaillan also actively contributed to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.[34]

Personal life[edit]

Nicolas Chaillan lives in Washington, D.C.. He became a US Citizen in August 2016.
