The Niguel Botanical Preserve is a botanical garden with over 2000 species of plants and 4 miles of hiking trails on 18 acres of land in the city of Laguna Niguel, California.

The preserve has zones for 5 geographical regions: Chilean, Australian, South African, Mediterranean, and California/Baja/Channel Islands. The selected plants thrive in a Mediterranean climate.

Other installations include a Rose Garden, a Children's Garden, a World Wide Succulent display, a Girl Scouts area, a Boy Scouts area, and a Citizen of the Year grove.

The preserve began in 1981 as a community vegetable garden.[1] A 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation was formed in 1984.[2]

The preserve is located on a hillside, and the upper portion has views of the surrounding hills and Saddleback Mountain.

The preserve is open from dawn to dusk year round. Admission and parking are free, and dogs are allowed if kept on leash.
