Nik Kranjec (born May 26, 1998), is a Slovenian director of photography and editor known for his film Love In Plane Sight which won the Grand Prix at one of the Big Three European Film Festivals, 2022 Cannes Film Festival.[1][2][3].
Early work
Nik started as a freelance videographer, documenting road cycling races in his country, Slovenia. His YouTube series called Race Day, where he followed the likes of Tadej Pogačar, Matej Mohorič[4] and Jani Brajkovič[5] during their national championship race, got very popular after the cyclists started to win ever bigger races. He then devoted his time to social media and content creation[6]. His work started to pay off when he got a chance to work with the founders of Talking Tom, Iza Sia and Samo Login[7]
