Nik Walker is an American stage actor who is most well known for playing Aaron Burr in the Broadway and touring productions of Hamilton.[1]
Other Broadway credits include roles in Motown: The Musical and the lead role of Otis Williams in Ain't Too Proud.[2]
Career[edit]
In 2012, Walker played The Wolf/Cinderella's Prince in the Baltimore CenterStage and Westport Country Playhouse 25th anniversary co-production of Into the Woods opposite Danielle Ferland as the Baker's Wife.[3]
Walker made his Broadway debut as a swing in the ensemble of Motown: The Musical in 2013.[4] He was also in the 2016 revival cast as Four Top/MLK Jr./Miller/Pop Gordy.[5]
In 2016, Walker joined the Broadway cast of Hamilton as an understudy and ensemble member.[2] He would later play the role of Aaron Burr in the 2018 second U.S. national tour.[6]
In 2020, Walker joined the cast of Ain't Too Proud as Otis Williams.[7] He rejoined the production after the COVID-19 pandemic.[8]
In 2021, Walker played Sweeney Todd in the Hangar Theatre summer production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street opposite Donna Lynne Champlin as Mrs. Lovett.[9]
Walker rejoined the Broadway cast of Hamilton in 2022 taking over the role of Burr.[4]
