According to the director of the film the production team worked in order to create a hybrid-genre movie that would delve into the poet's life through various filmic introspections. In direct dialogue with the work of Nikos Karouzos the film tries to represent the relation between an artwork and its medial languages.
According to Greek critic Christos Skylakos , the film does not center around the question "who is Karouzos?" but "why Karouzos" by showing the political, historical and personal events that formed the poet.
The film made its world premiere in Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2020 and received the First-Time Director Award from the Greek Film Centre. Also, it was the first Greek film among the works that was sold-out at the festival .
