Nilambar Acharya

Nilambar Acharya (born 1943) is Nepal's Ambassador to India. Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Acharya has served in a variety of political and diplomatic positions. A Moscow University graduate, Acharya was initially left-leaning but later joined the Nepali Congress party. He was minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and Labour and Social Welfare in the interim government of 1990. He was the ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka from 1996–2000. He was the chairman of the constitution drafting committee from 2009–2012.
