NinSheetMusic is a fansite consisting of video game piano arrangements. As of February 2023, the site hosts nearly 5000 sheets created by its community of around 300 arrangers.

History

NinSheetMusic was founded on April 11, 2004 by Guan "G-Han" Van Zoggel. Zoggel originally named the website Video Game Sheet Music, but it was renamed less than a month later.[citation needed] Zoggel stepped down on July 22, 2008, with Jari-Matti "Jamaha" Hannula taking over as site admin.[2]

Hannula stepped down as site admin on June 6, 2018, handing over the site to user Latios212, who as of 2023, continues to maintain the website.[3]

Content

NinSheetMusic boasts itself as The world's largest video game sheet music resource for pianists. Over 800 video games are represented with at least one sheet, organized into 45 separate pages for different video game franchises.[4]

Every arrangement is available for download in Finale's proprietary (.mus), as well as PDF and (.mid) MIDI formats.

New arrangements can be submitted to the site through a submissions process, in which "updaters" review the sheets for criteria such as note accuracy, playability, and presentation.[5] Updates occur on a near monthly basis, with special community projects occurring less frequently.
