WonderSeed Foundation

From its early years, WonderSeed explored and applied immersive environments, virtual reality and AI- enabled simulations, ahead of their board mainstream adoption as tools for experimental learning and behavioral change. The organization used these technologies to create interactive experiences in which participants could practice emotional regulation, communication, decision making, and real world behavioral responses.
The approach draws on neuroplasticity, using repeated immersive experiences and simulations to help participants practice and reinforce healthier, more adaptive behavioral patterns over time.
WonderSeed's theory of change is based on the premise that unaddressed trauma can contribute to emotional dysregulation, which can turn contribute to behavioral, educational, employment, and broader social difficulties.
Its program combine neuroscience and trauma-informed practices with emerging technology, education, and workforce preparation. The organization has developed programming for young people facing significant barriers, including youth involved in the juvenile-justice system, and has undertaken initiatives involving Los Angeles County Probation.
