Nirav Shah

Nirav Shah is Counselor and Deputy Mayor of Surat Municipal Corporation. He started his political journey in 1992 as a Bhartiya Janta Party worker. In 1998, he became ward president for BJP. After three years in 2001, he was elected as a secretory of Surat city Bhartiya Janta Party. Since 2005 he was elected as Counselor in Surat Municipal Corporation. He is currently acting as Deputy Mayor of Surat Municipal Corporation.

1. Appointed as Chartered President (Surat branch) of "Shree Jain Shwetambar Murti Pujak Mahasangh", India;
2. Further appointed as National Vice President (Gujarat state) of the said Organizaton,which is spread across 18 states and 540 cities.
3. He also served as "Chairman" of the above organization at surat city
4. Recently He Has Been Appointed As President of this organization which consists of 70 other organizations which are active in the social, religious and huminity work.
5. He has been honoured with award of "Jain yuva ratna" in 2007 at delhi by the national level leaders of this organization for doing the exceptional work for the sangathan.
6. Appointed as Chartered President of "Young Giants of Suryapura", an international organization working for rehabilitation of handicapped people that had 100 members at that time.
7. Serving at the post of President of "Shri Deepa Co.op Housing Society ltd." Located at adajan road, surat, a society containing 272 flats.
8. Serving at the post of Vice President of Shri Deepa Shwetambar Jain Sangh.
9. Being Founder-President of "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Help Center", adajan, surat. The said Organization Works for the Health of Poor People ,Relief at the time of natural calamities & disaster.
10. The said organization also work to awake people by organizing programmes like drawing competition & blood donation camp etc;
11. Trustee of "Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Alumni Charitable Trust", surat.
12. Ex-Committee Member of "Surat Diamond Association" and served for the diamond industry for 4 years.
