Nirbhay Pathik
Nirbhay Pathik is a Mumbai Hindi Daily Newspaper founded by technocrat Ved Prakash Goyal.[1] on 4th October 1984.
Nirbhay Pathik[2] is considered an independent forum for nationalist views. The newspaper is owned by Citizen Communications, a publishing house in Wadala, Mumbai [3][4]
History
The motive was to propagate national views on current affairs[5] during the 1980’s. In the year 1984, Mumbai’s leading Hindi newspaper faced a strike of employees, and then Nirbhay Pathik emerged as the platform to serve the Hindi-speaking population of India[6]. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had quoted “Journalism needs to be fearless” and thus the name “Nirbhay Pathik” was coined[7][8]
Founders
The founder team consisted of Ved Prakash Goyal[9], Swarup Chand Goyal, Pant Marathe, Puroshottam Mishra, Satish Sinnarkar and Ashvini Kumar Mishra[10]
The current editor [11] Ashvini Kumar Mishra,[12] who later pioneered the development of Nirbhay Pathik as Mumbai’s first Hindi evening newspaper[13] in 1989.
