Nirbhay Pathik is a Mumbai Hindi Daily Newspaper founded by technocrat Ved Prakash Goyal..[1] on 4th October 1984.

Nirbhay Pathik[2] is considered as an independent forum for nationalist views. The newspaper is owned by Citizen Communications, a publishing house in Wadala, Mumbai [3][4]

History

The motive was to propagate national views on the current affairs[5] during the 1980’s. In the year 1984, Mumbai’s leading Hindi newspaper faced strike of employees and then Nirbhay Pathik emerged as the platform to serve the Hindi speaking population of India[6] Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had quoted “Journalism needs to be fearless” and thus the name “Nirbhay Pathik” was coined[7][8]

Founders

The founder team consisted of. Ved Prakash Goyal[9], Swarup Chand Goyal, Pant Marathe, Puroshottam Mishra, Satish Sinnarkar and Ashvini Kumar Mishra[10]

The current editor [11]Ashvini Kumar Mishra,[12]who later pioneered the development of Nirbhay Pathik as Mumbai’s first Hindi evening newspaper[13] in 1989.
