Niroop Nandakumar (born 6 August 1993) is an Indian model, actor and film director who works in the Tamil television and film industry.[2] He is the first runner up of the OTT reality show Bigg Boss Ultimate (season 1).[3][4]
Personal life
During his appearance in Bigg Boss 5, Niroop declared that he was in a solid five-year relationship with film actress Yashika Aanand. However, in 2020 the couple parted ways due to some personal reasons and announced their breakup was due to misunderstandings and many more reasons.[5][6] However, later Niroop also admitted to being in a relationship with model and actress Abhirami Venkatachalam, however their relationship also didn't last.[7][8]
Career
Niroop appeared in the fifth season of the reality show Bigg Boss (Tamil season 5) as a housemate and later emerged in fifth place.[9] However, after his appearance he went on to feature in various different modeling photo shoots and magazine covers.
He once again later appeared in the OTT version of Bigg Boss called Bigg Boss Ultimate (season 1) which only starred contestants from the previous seasons of Bigg Boss, he once again participated as a housemate and later emerged as the first runner up of the show.[10]
In mid 2022, Niroop officially announced his first film debut in Tamil titled Rainbow debuting as the main lead role in the film. The film is scheduled for a theater release in 2023 and is currently undergoing filming.[11]
