Nirvana If They Were Good (commonly abbreviated to NITWG) is a British noise rock band from Salisbury formed in 2024. Originally founded by members "Elliott" Good, Theo Good and Merlin Good, adding members Gabi Good and Oscar Good in 2025.[2] The band is best known for writing experimental comedy songs and albums. The band's name is a parody of American Grunge band Nirvana.
Career
The band debuted with the single "Snakes (Mud)" in late 2024, which was followed by seven more before the release of their debut Album Mind, which achieved significant online attention from reviewers. After the release of Mind, Gabi Good joined the band in January of 2025. The band released their debut EP The Walrus Motel in June 2025, which received further attention online. Oscar Good joined later that year for the release of their sophomore album Enlightenment Trip in September. The band briefly toured locally after the release of this album, during which they released the two-song EP PLAY WITH CHEESE, covering two songs by The Real Cheesemakers.[3][4] On December 25, 2025, they released their third studio album Yellow Christmas, a Christmas album of carols.
