Nitish Sharma Beejan is a Mauritian politician belonging to the Labour Party, serving as the member of Parliament representing constituency number 6, Grand Baie & Poudre d'Or, since 11 November 2024. He was selected as candidate number two of Alliance du Changement for the general election on 10 November 2024. He was elected to the parliament with 28,925 votes (61.95%).

Early life & education
Nitish was born in Goodlands, Mauritius. He is a graduate. He is married to Dr. Denisha Autar.
Career
Nitish Beejan was a former certified consultant in environmental impact assessment (EIA) and a teacher in human resource management. He was formerly Principal Occupational Safety and Health Officer at the Labour Ministry. He chose to resign from his duties in the public service to follow a long-held dream: to serve his country through politics. He has also worked closely with Mauritius Arya Ravi Veda Pracharini Sabha.
