Noa Maiman (Hebrew: ื ื•ืขื” ืžื™ืžืŸ‎; born Template:DOB) is an actress, director, producer, screenwriter and leftist activist. She's the daughter of billionaire Yossi Maiman.

Biography[edit]

Noa Maiman was born in Tel Aviv, grew up in the Ramat Aviv neighbourhood, and then in Herzliya. She's the middle sibling in the family and has 2 siblings. Her father, Yossi Maiman, was a billionaire businessman, which was born in Germany in a refugee camp to Polish Holocaust survivors.

Noa Maiman studied in the Nof Yam elementary school, then Smadar middle school and majored in theatre in HaYovel high school in Herzliya, which she dropped out of around the time of the murder of Yitzhak Rabin, when she joined the political world. Maiman was the chair of the Youth Labour Party in Herzliya, and the national chair of the movement from 1995–1997. She initially served as a psychotechnical interviewer and diagnostician in the IDF, then went to Officers' Course, after which she served as assistant to the Military Secretary of Deputy Defense Ministers Efraim Sneh and Dalia Rabin. At the end of her military, in August of 2001, she studied law for a year in the Hebrew University. Maiman has a bachelor's degree in General History and General Studies from the Tel Aviv University (2002–2005). After which she worked at the Yitzhak Rabin Centre as a project manager, responsible for the coordination of the 10 Year Remembrance of Yitzhak Rabin's murder and the opening of the Yitzhak Rabin Centre (2004–2005).

Noa Maiman lived in London for three years. In her first 2 years she took courses in acting, scriptwriting and filming. At the same time, she started getting her first acting roles in student films. In her final year of living in London, she completed her Master's Degree in Comparative Politics with an emphasis on Conflict Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2008–2009). At the same time, she got acting roles in Israel and started living between Tel Aviv and London. She played guest roles in Parashat HaShavua, Lost Islands and The Place, and a regular role in Neshot HaTayasim (Hebrew: ื ืฉื•ืช ื”ื˜ื™ื™ืกื™ื‎). She was the entertainment and culture reporter for Y Be'Eser. Maiman has participated in various photography galleries, wrote the opinion column in Israel Hayom and starred in advertisements.

She starred in Omer Regev's short film "The House on the Water" (Hebrew: ื”ื‘ื™ืช ืขืœ ื”ืžื™ื‎). The film was nominated for an award in the Festival international du film d'Aubagne in France in 2013.

With her return to Israel in late 2009, Maiman founded the company Added Value, within which she produced, directed and wrote multiple documentary films. The company was shut down in November 2011.

Maiman participated in a screen acting workshop according to the methods of Ruth Dytches, a directing and acting workshop with Rani Blair, and an acting workshop according to the methods of Ivana Chubbuck under the guidance of Alon Neuman and Shahar Rozen.

Following her film Oy Mama (Hebrew: ืื•ื™ ืžืืžื‎), which tells the story of a young immigrant girl who adopts a grandmother, Maiman became an advocate against the deportation of the children of immigrant workers in 2009.

In 2010 Maiman co-founded the organization "Visit Palestine" [1], together with Yoav Bodor and Ahmad Helou, who is the assistant of former Palestinian politician Saeb Erekat. The organization organizes trips for Palestinians in Israel and trips for Israelis in the Palestinian Authority, which the goal of dismantling mental barriers. They got about 1,200 Israelis in Ramallah up to February 2012.

In 2012 she participated in season 7 of the reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing (Hebrew: ืจื•ืงื“ื™ื ืขื ื›ื•ื›ื‘ื™ื‎ on Channel 2 of Reshet, with the dancer Danny Yuchtman, and was eliminated from the competition at an early stage. From 2017 to February 2018, she released a series of YouTube videos called "ืขืจื›ืช ื›ืœื™ื ืœื”ื—ืœืžื” ืžืื•ื ืก"(English: Rape Recovery Toolkit)[2].

Maiman is married to the businessman Tomer Dvir, co-founder and CEO of Soluto. They have 2 children. They have been living in a Yacht since 2020[3].
