Nobuaki Kojima
Nobuaki Kojima (Japanese: 小島 信明, born December 10, 1950) is a Japanese business executive and researcher. He spent decades at Mitsubishi Corporation, where he was involved in projects across multiple sectors and played a leading role in the creation of the company's Global Environmental Infrastructure Group.[1][2] In addition to corporate roles, he has served as an advisor to Hitachi, Secom, and as a professor at Waseda University. Kojima is currently a visiting research fellow at Tohoku University and a guest researcher at Waseda University, and serves as an advisor to NanoFrontier Inc., Wanderlust Inc.[3], and Chodai.

Career
Mitsubishi Corporation
Kojima joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1974 and worked in the Food and Heavy Machinery divisions before taking overseas assignments in Iran and Malaysia.[1] He later headed departments responsible for environmental and resource projects, and was appointed President of Mitsubishi Corporation Iran in 2001. In 2007, he became General Manager of the New Energy and Environmental Business Division, and in 2010 was promoted to Senior Executive Officer and CEO of the newly established Global Environmental Infrastructure Group.[4]
Post-retirement activities
Since retiring from Mitsubishi Corporation in 2014, Kojima has held advisory roles at Hitachi, Secom, and other organizations, and has been involved in academia, including positions at Waseda University and Tohoku University.[2] In interviews with business media, he has discussed strategies for overseas expansion and corporate M&A, drawing on his experience leading over 100 investment projects during his career.[1]
Major Achievements
Kojima has been associated with large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects, including solar thermal and photovoltaic power plants in Spain and Portugal, and container terminal operations in Valencia, Spain.[5][6]
Education and Human Resource Development
He has delivered lectures on business creation and energy policy at Waseda University and other institutions, and has been invited as a speaker at international business schools.[7]
