Nodar Kharatishvili, born in 1937 in Tbilisi, Georgia, is Professor, Academician, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor of Georgian Technical University, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Pilot. He was vice-rector of Georgian Technical University from 1887 to 1992 and Deputy Minister of Telecommunications of Georgia from 1992 to 1998.

He is a chairmen of the Georgian Chapter of the International Telecommunication Academy http://www.ita.org.ru/structure/otdel/ He is also member of the New York Academy of Sciences

He is author of 23 patents, over 250 scientific publications and author of 12 books.

He obtained Private Pilot Licenses (PPL) providing rights to fly single engine, multi engine, complex and high performance airplanesat the age of 74 at Claud Dance Aviation (CDA)) in [[Florida] ] and is one of the oldest practicing pilots in Ukraine. Won in 2014 Aviation Rally of Koroliov in Jytomyr Jitomir
