Noel Braun is a Swedish orienteer who competes in foot orienteering. He has won multiple gold medals at the Junior World Orienteering Championships and is best known for his long distance performances.
Junior career
Braun represented Sweden at the Junior World Orienteering Championships 2022 in Portugal. In the men's long distance he won the gold medal, finishing 17 seconds ahead of his nearest rival after a demanding race in damp and misty forest conditions. He was also part of the Swedish men's relay team that won gold at the same championships.
At the rescheduled forest races of JWOC 2022 he delivered consistently strong results across middle, long and relay disciplines. Braun returned to JWOC in 2023 and again won the men's long distance, confirming his status as one of the leading junior long distance runners in international orienteering.
Senior career
Following his junior successes Braun continued to compete in IOF‑sanctioned events at senior level, with results in forest disciplines at World Ranking Events and other international competitions. His JWOC titles mark him out as one of Sweden's prominent young forest orienteers.
