Career
With Espirito
'Espirito' was a Latin-jazz/funk band that featured a lineup of various Australian musicians. The band had a residency at 'The Basement' [4][5] and toured with Al Jarreau in 1995 throughout Australia and New Zealand.[6][1] It was on this tour that Noel was introduced to drummer Land Richards (who had played with Gerald Albright and Phil Upchurch) who invited Noel to LA. Their friendship led to a collaboration which saw Land and Gerald Albright playing on his album 'Feelin' Good'.[1][7] The band supported Dizzy Gillespie's in his Australian Tour[8] and frequently performed at the Manly and Bondi Jazz festivals in the late 90s and early 2000s.
After Espirito
Noel continues to practice dentistry whilst working in the local Sydney music scene as a producer and musician.
