Noor Hindi (نور هندي) is a Palestinian American poet and journalist from Akron, Ohio. Notably, in 2021, she received a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation.[1]
Her poems and essays appear in Poetry[2], Literary Hub[3], Gay magazine[4], and The Rumpus[5].
Hindi's news articles have been featured in WEWS-TV News 5 Cleveland[6] and Akron Beacon Journal[7]. In 2020, she was named a 2020–2021 Reveal Investigative Fellow from the Center for Investigative Reporting, where she reported on housing conditions for immigrants in Akron.[8]
Her debut poetry collection, Dear God. Dear Bones. Dear Yellow, is forthcoming in 2022 from Haymarket Books.[9]
