Nora Mulder (born 1965) is a Dutch pianist and cimbalom player.
Mulder studied classical piano at Rotterdam Conservatory and Maastricht Academy of Music, followed by studies at Mozarteum in Salzburg and L’Academie de Villecroze. In Paris she studied with Claude Helffer, a specialist in contemporary classical music. In 1994 she started playing the cimbalom.
Mulder is active as a solo player as well as in orchestras and ensembles for contemporary music. With violin player Bas Wiegers and trombone player Koen Kaptijn she formed the Trio 7090. With this trio she released a CD with music of Iannis Xenakis. She is a piano duo with Pauline Post. She plays cimbalom in Corkestra, Cor Fuhler's ensemble. She also collaborates with Anne Laberge, Tobias Delius, Ab Baars, Andy Moor (The Ex), Wilbert de Joode, Tony Buck, and Michael Vatcher. In 2007 Yuri Honing recorded a full instrumental version of Schubert's song cycle Winterreise, accompanied by the classical pianist Nora Mulder.
Mulder plays compositions of Astor Piazzolla, John Adams, Francis Poulenc, Igor Stravinski, and George Antheil with orchestras such as Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Symfonie Orkest, and Noord Nederlands Orkest.
Mulder is also active as a visual artist and collaborated in theater and dance performances.
