Nostalgia is the eighth extended play (EP) by Nigerian record producer and beatmaker BadBoy Beat. Released in 2026, it is his second EP of the year, following Gifted. Background
Following the release of Gifted, BadBoy Beat returned with Nostalgia, an instrumental EP exploring different African dance music styles. The project combines melodic amapiano production, Afrobeats rhythms, and Nigerian street-inspired percussion while maintaining a cohesive instrumental sound.
Composition
Nostalgia opens with the title track, an amapiano instrumental driven by log drums, melodic synths, and rhythmic percussion. The second track, "Tango", is an Afrobeats instrumental featuring dance-oriented melodies and groove-focused production. The third track, "Para", incorporates the energetic style of Nigerian mara dance music through fast-paced percussion and street-inspired rhythms. The EP concludes with "Pa Pa Pa (Remix)", an Afrobeats instrumental that had previously been released as a standalone single before being included on the project.
