Nova Recovery Center is a drug and alcohol rehab center in Texas. The first Nova Recovery Center facility was opened in 2011. The company’s main facility is located at 601 Old Oaks Ranch Road in Wimberley, Texas.

Nova Recovery Center has been featured on the A&E program Intervention[1] and provides long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs for individuals with substance abuse disorders involving drugs, alcohol and other substances.[2] Clients participate in several different types of behavioral therapy, group and individual counseling, family recovery programming, and 12-step group programming to overcome their physical addictions and behavioral issues.[3] Clients may also complete an Intensive Outpatient Program at Nova’s Austin, Texas or Houston, Texas locations.

Nova Recovery Center and Eudaimonia Recovery Homes[4] merged as one company in July of 2014 to provide sober living houses and ongoing recovery services.

Addiction Recovery Services[edit]

As a whole, Nova Recovery Center and its sister companies Eudaimonia Recovery Homes, Hill Country Detox Center, and Briarwood Detox Center, provide the following addiction recovery services:[5]

Company History[edit]

The first Nova Recovery Center facility was opened in 2011 and it had 16 beds. The Nova Toxicology Department was created in December of 2012 and the toxicology lab was created in April of 2013.

Nova’s Austin Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) began operating in January of 2014 and the company purchased a second IOP location in June of 2014.

By March of 2015, Nova Recovery Center had 56 licensed beds at a second location.

Corporate Leadership[edit]

The Chief Executive Officer of Nova Recovery Center is Mathew Gorman.[6] Terri Edwards is the Chief Operating Officer.[7]

Organizational Memberships and Sponsorships[edit]

Nova Recovery Center is an organizational member of the NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.[8] Nova was also a premiere sponsor of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP) 2014-2017 annual state conferences on addiction studies.[9]
