Nukkad Naatak
Nukkad Naatak is a 2026 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Tanmaya Shekhar in his directorial debut. [1] The film, which stars Molshri and Shivang Rajpal in lead roles, tells the story of two privileged college students who are tasked with enrolling children from a nearby slum into school as a condition for their reinstatement after being expelled. [2] The film's title is a reference to the Indian tradition of street theatre. [3]
Produced independently with a crowdfunded budget of approximately ₹1 crore, the film gained attention for its unique, grassroots marketing campaign and its journey to theatres without the backing of a major studio or OTT platform. [4] It was released in theatres on February 27, 2026. [5]
