Number One Son (later The Action) were a British nu metal band from Liverpool. the band is best known for their 2001 album "Majority Of One", which featured the single "Hourglass".

Origin and Majority Of One (2000–2002)[edit]
Number One Son formed in 2000, on 12 November 2001, the band released their debut studio album "Majority Of One" through Visible Noise. The albums first and only single "Hourglass" was released in 2002. The band was part of the Kerrang! Weekender 2002, which also featured fellow Visible Noise artist Lostprophets.
Lessons and disbandment (2003-2005)[edit]
Drummer Keith Blundell and bassist Dave Sale both left the band and were replaced by Simon "Tiger Si" Atkinson and Ian J. Ward, on 11 August 2003 the band released their second studio album "Lessons". The album featured the single "All Fall Down", despite being critically acclaimed it failed to reach the attention of its predecessor, the band would eventually rename to "The Action" and would disband in 2005.
