Numskull Designs is a British brand specializing in licensed merchandise tie-in products, such as figurines, collectables, clothing and peripherals such as headphones and USB cables. It is also a video game publisher, distributor and retailer.

Founded in September 2012 by former GAME executives Ben Grant and Matthew Precious, the brand's headquarters are in Welwyn Garden City, with the distribution center in Jarrow. It also has two overseas offices; Sydney, Australia and Shenzhen, China.[1]

Products[edit]

As 'Numskull Designs', the company produces official licensed products from companies such as Bethesda, Microsoft and Warner Bros.[2] In 2020, the brand partnered with Bungie to produce a figurine of the character 'The Stranger' from Destiny 2 which had it's own 'Collector Edition' of the expansion Beyond Light.[3]

In 2021 Numskull Designs produced a Spyro the Dragon and Ghostbusters themed incense burner, which were nominated for that year's brand Licensing Awards.[4]

Numskull has a range of collectable figures called 'Tubbz' stylized rubber ducks depicted as various movie, game and television characters, including Lord Of The Rings[5], Jaws[6] and Jurassic Park[7].

Quarter Arcades[edit]

It also produces 'Quarter Arcades', replica miniature arcade machines of 1980s best-sellers such as Ms Pac-Man, Bubble Bobble and Galaga.[8] In 2021 it launched a supporting USB power hub as a mock-up 'Polybius' arcade machine, which as an urban legend from the same era.[9]

Numskull Games[edit]

In 2019 Numskull expanded into video game publishing and distribution, working with Spike Chunsoft, Bitmap Bureau, Happinet and others.[10]
