Career
Nupur Kohli - Already during her studies Nupur was an active public speaker. She used to be selected for her oratory skills and stage performance. During her medical studies at Academic Medical Center Amsterdam, the Netherlands she was elected Vice President and Secretary, International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA-UvA) and she was appointed officer on Research Exchange for medical academic students and a trainer on Communication, Strategic planning, and Intercultural differences at IFMSA. [1][2] While still studying medicine, at the age of 23 she gave her first TEDx talk at the famous Delft University in the Netherlands to an audience of more than one thousand.[1][3][4] Since then she has delivered more than 70 talks world-wide.[5] In 2016 she was invited to give her second TEDx talk at the Nyenrode Business University, Netherlands.[6] She is known for her speeches on Future of Healthcare[7][8], Health and Technology[9] , Stress and Productivity[6][10][11], Stress and career ambition[12], Time management and productivity[13] and Motivation and positivity[1]. In 2015 she was invited to speak at the premiere of the documentary film 'the Enemy of the Reich: The Noor Inayat Khan Story' on stress in war times.[14] Nupur also gave many speeches on women empowerment and gender equality.[15]
As a healthcare advisor she worked with EY Netherlands for the Dutch medical sector to help healthcare institutions achieve measurable and sustainable results through effective and integrated improvement programs.[16][17][18][19] She regularly gives keynote speeches on future of healthcare and healthcare strategies.[7][8]
As author her several years of research on stress and productivity resulted in her book on stress and productivity, "CHILL!: How to survive stress and improve personal & professional productivity. Symptoms & solutions to chronic pressure".[20][16][21][5] She has written HBX Business Blog for Harvard Business School, USA[22] and she is cited in Harvard Business School - HBX promotional bulletin.[23] Her views and articles appeared in numerous newspapers, magazines and online media besides research publications.[24][25][26]
As a medical doctor Nupur did research in cancer treatment. Her research findings were published in the Dutch oncology journal OncologieUptodate.[24] She also did research on how Vitamin D status partly explains ethnic differences in blood pressure which is published in The Journal of Hypertension with Nupur Kohli as first author.[25] Her article on travel and health was published in Global Medicine (a magazine on global and public health).[26] Nupur is currently working as a Community Paediatrician in the Netherlands.[27][28][8]
In 2017 she was appointed to the Advisory Board Council member of National Association of salaried Doctors in the Netherlands (LAD - Landelijke Vereniging van Artsen in Dienstverband). LAD together with a few other arms forms The Royal Dutch Medical Association.[29] She is Ambassador of Sustainable Healthcare Challenge, The Netherlands[30] and Action for Happiness Netherlands.[31]
Global Shaper World Economic Forum - Nupur is designated Global Shaper from the Netherlands by World Economic Forum .[28]
