Matt Allen, known by his stage name of Nur-D, is a Minneapolis-based Hip Hop and Rap artist. He was born on October 26, 1990[1] and attended Rosemount High School. His music contains themes such as body positivity, self love, and he is very vocal about his support for the LGBT community and Black Lives Matter cause. [2] His music style is informed by gospel music.[3] Previously he was a member of the band Black Genesis, which dissolved in 2018. [4]
