Nuran Bank is a Libyan commercial bank operating in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles. Established as a joint-stock company, the bank is a joint venture between the Libyan Foreign Bank and the Qatar Investment Authority (via Qatar Holding).[1][2]

History

Nuran Bank officially launched its operations on November 5, 2015, from its headquarters located in the Tripoli Tower. The bank was established with a capital of 600 million Libyan dinars (LYD), with ownership split equally between the Libyan and Qatari partners. The bank subsequently transitioned to operate fully as an Islamic bank, offering financial products and services compliant with Sharia standards.[3]

Governance

The bank's governance structure consists of a Board of Directors and an executive management team. Mustafa Mohamed Al-Saeh serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The executive team oversees various specialized departments, including human resources, legal affairs, and electronic services.[4]
