Nyotron

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Nyotron, founded in 2012, is a privately held cybersecurity firm headquartered in Santa Clara, CA, with product, research, and development teams in Israel [1][2, 3, 4]. Initial funding of $10 million was reported in February 2015, with another $21 million in July 2017.[5]

Nyotron provides OS-Centric Positive security to protect endpoints from advanced attacks. This approach is based on mapping the operating system at the system call level with cartography. Instead of analyzing attack vectors and methodologies, Nyotron’s solution focuses on preventing intended damage.

Founding

Nyotron’s Founder and CTO, Nir Gaist, is an information security expert and ethical hacker. He started programming at age 6 and began his studies at the Israeli Technion University at age 10. Nir’s cybersecurity experience includes serving as a security consultant to large Israeli organizations, such as the Israeli Police, the Israeli parliament, and Microsoft’s Israeli branch. Mr. Gaist has also written cybersecurity curriculum for the Israel Ministry of Education and for the Israel Council of Higher Education. He holds patents for the creation of a programming language used to map operating system behavior to stop attacks.

Products and Services

Nyotron’s PARANOID leverages a patented method of mapping normative ways to perform potentially damaging activity on a laptop, desktop, or server to stop unknown threats. PARANOID works seamlessly with antivirus and next-generation antivirus solutions to provide the last line of defense from modern state-level attacks. Nyotron Managed Defense Services (MDS) provides ongoing monitoring and proactive alerting on suspicious behavior, as well as targeted security intelligence reports.
