O'Darien Bassett (born May 17, 1986) is a Dominican-American basketball player. He currently plays for the Hong Kong Eastern of the ASEAN Basketball League.[1]

College career[edit]

Bassett had played his 2 years of junior college basketball at Okaloosa-Walton CC[2] in NJCAA Division I.[3] Moreover, he had experienced 2 years of college basketball at Troy with 61 times of appearance for the team in NCAA Division I.[4]

Professional career[edit]

Beginnings in Europe[edit]

Germany[edit]

After graduated from Troy in 2008,[5] Bassett began his professional career in a German ProA club Kaiserslautern Braves in December 2008.[6]

Romania[edit]

In August 2009, after a year played in Germany, Bassett signed a Romanian Liga Națională club SCM U Craiova to continue his career.[7]

France[edit]

In July 2010, after the year played in Romania, Bassett moved to France,[8] he had played for Stade Clermontois,[9] JSA Bordeaux,[10] SPO Rouen Basket[11] and JL Bourg.[12] Moreover, he did got the chance to participate in the LNB Pro A with JL Bourg in 2014–15.[13]

Back to America[edit]

Dominican Republic[edit]

In May 2015, after staying 7 years in Europe, Bassett return to his dual nationality country in Dominican Republic and played for Huracanes del Atlántico,[14] Club San Sebastián[15] and Parque Hostos[16] with several of short-term periods.

Venezuela[edit]

In December 2015, Bassett moved to a Venezuelan Liga Profesional de Baloncesto club Gaiteros del Zulia and played with the team for a season.[17]

Move to Asia[edit]

South Korea[edit]

In September 2016, Bassett had signed for a Korean Basketball League (KBL) club Goyang Orions in 2016–17.[18]

Return to South America[edit]

Argentina[edit]

In September 2017, Bassett had returned to South America and signed for an Argentinian Liga Nacional de Básquet club Salta Basket for a season.[19]

Return to Asia[edit]

South Korea[edit]

In August 2018, Bassett had returned to South Korea and signed for another KBL club Seoul SK Knights, which after a year played for Salta Basket of the Liga Nacional de Básquet in Argentina.[20]

Hong Kong[edit]

In January 2019, Bassett had moved to Hong Kong and sign for an ASEAN Basketball League club Hong Kong Eastern to replace their former import, Eric Ferguson.[21]
