OISE is an international group of training centres specialising in language coaching for academic and professional purposes one-to-one or in small groups of 4 or 8 students. Coaching in English, French, Spanish and German is provided in countries where the languages are natively spoken.
History[edit]
The company was founded in 1973 by Chief Executive Till Gins and has expanded greatly on the success of its customised courses, which combine intensive tuition by experienced tutors in small class sizes with the goal of offering a transformational language experience. The company was founded as Oxford Intensive School of English, but is now only referred to as OISE to reflect the fact that French, German and Spanish are taught as well as English in numerous locations.
Tuition[edit]
A detailed needs analysis is conducted before students arrive which is used to design the course according to their goals, whether academic or professional. Tutors are selected for their industry-specific experience and ability to foster confidence in learners. Languages are taught in the countries where they are natively spoken and the majority of courses include host family accommodation to offer complete language immersion, alternatively students may choose from a college residence or a hotel local to the training centre.
