Launched in 2007 as a small startup, ONYC[1][2] was founded by beauty entrepreneur Thelma Okoro[3] in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, a western part of Africa. The business grew as a registered International Hair Extension Company and one of the largest producers of hair products such as Virgin and Remy hair, the company later expanded to the United States, with offices in several states and Headquartered in Washington DC.
