OSCAR (Open Source Computer Algebra Research system) is a computer algebra system for computations in algebra, geometry, and number theory.

The project builds on and extends the four cornerstone systems GAP (for computational group theory). SINGULAR (for commutative and non-commutative algebra, algebraic geometry), Polymake (for polyhedral geometry), and Antic (for number theory).

    Distribution[edit]

OSCAR is distributed freely, subject to "copyleft" conditions. It runs natively on Linux and macOS, and via WSL on Windows.
