The Computer Science Department at the Oregon State University (OSU) in Corvallis, Oregon is one of the leading computer science departments in Oregon.[1] It was founded in 1974 and has occasionally tied with the UO Computer Science department for 1st in the state. The department is under the OSU College of Engineering. The department's geographical location is close to the Silicon Forest located in the Portland Metro Area.

Academics[edit]
The CS department grants B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees as well as minors for undergraduate students. The program is ABET accredited.[2]
Kelley Engineering Center[edit]
The Kelley Engineering Center is the building that the Computer Science Department shares with the Electrical Engineering Department. The building was completed in 2006 with a $20 million donation to OSU from Martin and Judy Kelley, $20 million in matching funds from the state of Oregon, and $5 million in private gifts.[3]
Cascades Campus[edit]
OSU Cascades is a satellite campus that the University owns located in Bend, Oregon. This smaller campus grants Bachelor degrees in computer science and participates in the MECOP program.[4]
