"O Mahi" [4] is a Punjabi Bollywood song written and composed by Indian songwriter Rk Aesh and Indian singer Amit Sharma. This song was produced and directed by Fijian music producer of Indian descent DJ Ritendra and Lakhaveer Singh, and also features music from Mavi Musical. The song is based on a Punjabi love story, and lead vocals on this track were performed by Amit Sharma. The track was produced in 2016 and will also be part of Amit Sharma's upcoming debut studio album, Kasoor, which will be released later in 2016. The track was released on 30 January 2016 by Lewavesi Production.
Background
The song is about love. In an interview on YoungBizTimes India, Amit Sharma described the song: "Well, the song is called 'O Mahi', of course you all must be knowing this anyway, but yes, the song is quite comprehensive. The moment you'll give it a listen, you'll know what its all about. Its about love, the nature of it. And most importantly, its about trust. How much faith that we should have in love". He also added, "See, some people actually don't believe in Love and ridicule it actually, but it is not like that, the thing that matters the most in a relationship is trust. Love is never fake, all we need is trust".
